Our Story
One evening in 1998, a group of like-minded professionals talked late into the night about how they could create a more efficient way to deliver projects in a fragmented industry.
They believed architects, designers, engineers and builders could work together in a more integrated way to deliver a better experience for clients and employees.
That very night, Omicron was born.
Since that pivotal day in the late ’90s, we have grown into one of the largest integrated firms in Western Canada, leading the way in designing, engineering, and constructing exceptional buildings that create lasting value for our communities.

Our Timeline
1998
Omicron Canada Inc. was established. Providing architecture & engineering services.
2000
CEO, Bill Tucker joins Omicron.
2004
Omicron expands services to include interior design by acquiring Officeworks.
2009
First year being named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
2010
Omicron expands services to include real estate development.
2011
Omicron opens office in Victoria.
2013
Omicron expands, acquiring Grant and Sinclair Architects Ltd.
2015
Omicron becomes Platinum status for Canada's Best Managed Companies.
2018
Celebrates 20th Anniversary with over 8,500 projects completed. Now one of the largest integrated development, design, and construction firms in Western Canada.
2021
Nexii acquires Omicron, combining Nexii’s green building materials technology with Omicron’s integrated project delivery.
2023
Omicron celebrates 25th Anniversary.
2024
Omicron is requisitioned by key management leaders. A transformative chapter and the launch of Omicron 2.0.
