Pender Plaza
Office
The 1130 / 1140 W Pender Street lobby renovation was both a cosmetic and building envelope upgrade to a plaza which connects two mid-1980’s office towers. The project included removing tall, brick-clad planter walls and replacing them with lower cast-in-place concrete walls as well as introducing new planting, furniture, handrails and lighting has created a vastly improved urban space. One significant upgrade is a new timber-framed canopy which connects the two towers together across the plaza, which is supported entirely from the structure of the existing buildings.
