Laurel Street Works Yard Replacement Project

This project is the final phase of a plan to upgrade and replace the aging and outdated operations facilities for the public works functions of the City. The five year, multi-phased project will replace the existing Works Yard located at 5780 Laurel Street. In 2010, we completed the City of Burnaby Works Yard Master Plan Report, which identified the long-term Works Yard needs of the City.
Scope of Work:

• 10 acre, 185,000 sq.ft. renewal project
• Complex client Org. structure, multiple functional departments with varied needs for industrial and office space
• Develop new facility while maintaining existing works yard operations in two major phases and under two different GC contractors
• Coordinating upgrades & additions for power and communication infrastructure to meet growing demands for EOC, Data Centre, and City infrastructure telecom system
