Cellcentric
Omicron was engaged to design and construct a new 57,000 sq.ft. facility for cellcentric at Riverbend Industrial Park in Burnaby, BC. Previously operating within a portion of the Ballard facility, cellcentric needed a purpose-built space to support its growth. This first Canadian facility doubled their footprint and tripled production capacity, marking a significant milestone for the company.
Omicron collaborated closely with cellcentric’s production and operations teams throughout an extensive design process to create a state-of-the-art environment for R&D, manufacturing, and administrative staff. The project required complex coordination with the landlord, the City of Burnaby, and BC Hydro to accommodate major utility upgrades and the installation of large hydrogen and nitrogen tanks on site.
