Omicron was selected to provide design services for the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC)’s new 80,000 sq.ft. Vancouver corporate headquarters at Broadway Tech Centre. In addition to the corporate offices, there are a further 30,000 sq.ft. of warehousing and office mezzanine area.

Omicron guided BCLC through a process of information gathering, assessments and collaborative workshops to determine functional requirements for the new space. The company’s strong corporate culture is reflected throughout with the use of design, graphics and colour selection.

The Client’s newly launched brand was woven into the fabric of the space and design solution. The space contains a variety of meeting places that range from casual to the more structured meeting rooms. Individual work areas appropriate to the tasks at hand varied from that of a high technology team member, to a creative individual that requires extensive layout space and brainstorming areas, to an executive with a need for privacy. Shared staff areas such as lunch rooms, lounges and other recreational areas were created to help promote communication, interaction and engagement amongst staff.
