Alex is Omicron's Electrical Engineering Practice Manager and is also responsible for the overall practice standards for the firm. He is responsible for conceptual and detailed design, specification writing and construction management. He is also responsible for supervision of high voltage installations, electrical power distribution, lighting, controls, fire alarms and multimedia and communication systems for various new and renovated commercial, educational, institutional and industrial buildings.
Alex is an ardent supporter of smart building design utilizing the principles of sustainability to maximize the life-cycle of a project and minimize its impact on the environment.
Alex’s interests include reading, hiking, fly fishing and tennis. He is also a part-time lecturer at BCIT and participates in UBC’s Electrical Engineering Tri-Mentoring program.
