A new Home Depot for Squamish

December 15, 2006

Squamish’s new 60,000 sq.ft. Home Depot store, set against a picturesque mountain backdrop, opened its doors in November 2006. The $10.7 million project is part of a retail development along the Sea to Sky Highway which is also home to a new Walmart store.

In addition to providing Architecture, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Construction Management of site works, Omicron provided early site preparation services which helped the store meet its tight schedule.

Over the past 8 years, Omicron has partnered with Home Depot to successfully roll-out their aggressive growth strategy throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.  Our effective site development coordination and project management process allows us to control the issues that ultimately affect the costs and delivery of each store.

Home Depot’s Real Estate and Construction personnel rely on Omicron’s Site Development Coordinators to effectively assess the site viability and costs and expedite the approval process.

Omicron’s single-source Architecture and Engineering design team provides full design and coordination to site-adapt Home Depot’s program with value-added solutions, including the integration and coordination of in-store restaurant outlets.  Our Project Management services focus on ensuring the store is built to Home Depot’s specifications, budget and schedule.

Additionally, Omicron provides ongoing services to Home Depot’s Maintenance and Store Upgrade program.

Omicron’s utilization of a defined and proven process, single-source integrated services and effective communications through current technology has been instrumental in delivering over 40 successful Home Depot projects.
