Omicron’s staff recently joined together to raise funds for the United Way of the Lower Mainland. Surpassing the goal of $30,000, the team effort resulted in a $31,768 contribution to the prominent social services fund. The final results were extremely positive with a 30% increase in staff participation and a total donation increase of over 35% over the 2008 campaign.
The week-long campaign kicked off on October 26 with a waffle breakfast prepared by the senior management team. The rest of the fun-filled week included a bake sale, silent auction, prize draws, pledge drives and an exciting wrap party.
Thank you to all eager contributors and volunteers who helped make the campaign a tremendous success!
Money raised during the campaign will be invested in various charity organizations and critical social services. Please visit www.uwlm.ca for more information.
