A sustainable, flexible and affordable facility
A new $18 million, 96,000 sq.ft. building providing energy efficient, flexible
lab space for the Electrical and Computer Engineering faculty at UBC. Aspiring
to reduce energy use by 45%, the new building was partially constructed
over an existing building without disrupting normal operations.
The project received a 2008 AIBC Lieutenant-Governor of BC Award of Excellence. Omicron provided Architecture in collaboration with architectsAlliance in Toronto and Mechanical Engineering services. Find out more about the project's green features.
